What a great year...
10 family shoots,
1 head shot shoot,
2 wedding candids,
1 engagement shoot,
5 seniors shoots,
and over 10 children shoots.
I also assisted in about a half dozen or so weddings with a fellow photographer.
Thank you to all my clients, friends, and family that continue to support me.
Thank you to the Lord above who has given me the opportunity to pursue my dream of photography.
Happy New Year!!!

family trip to the zoo
A couple Sundays ago, we packed up the car with my family, my sister's family, and my parents and hit the road to Binder Park Zoo! It was fun, even though Charlie was "scared" of all the animals, but she loved the tram to Africa!

Update...
So I feel like I have neglected this blog... life can really get going and I forget what I'm supposed to do. But since spring and summer hit, we've been a busy little family. As you can see I have had some stuff going, and I'm getting a few more, which I'll post shortly. But mainly yard work, softball, and family life have been consuming my time. I thought I'd add a few fun things from our Memorial Day camping trip and my glamour shots with my small group from youth group.
Enjoy the less professional side!

The Hoeksema Family...
This was my first BIG family shoot. I even took an assistant along (thanks Julie).
The day was beautiful... BUT with beautiful sunshine comes the photographers challenge... Squinty eyes and too bright of faces... So we try to find shade... But at this particular time of year (early May) there were not enough leaves on the trees to give us proper shade, so creating another photographer's challenge - Shadows.
Thanks to the gang of 20 for hanging through it, even in nap time!
